  • Job Title: Digital Marketing Coordinator, Sustainable Production Forum (SPF25) 

    The Digital Marketing Coordinator, Sustainable Production Forum is an important member of the SPF25 team, responsible for providing assistance to execute the outreach and digital marketing strategy for the organization, and its flagship event, the Sustainable Production Forum. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will work with the SPF comms and marketing team members to execute the fulsome digital marketing, social media, and outreach strategy for the Sustainable Production Forum. 

    Term: May 2, 2025- July 4, 2025

    Direct Report: Digital Marketing Specialist + Executive Director 

    Hourly Rate: $21.00 CDN / hour 

    Hours: Approx 30 hrs X 9 weeks, to an estimated maximum of 270

    Location: Remote + potential limited in-person requirements. 

    Tools & Equipment: The contractor will have continual access to a computer in good working condition with camera and microphone, and high speed internet.

    Working Hours: The contractor will be required to participate in multiple weekly, on camera, zoom meetings, during 9-5 (ET or PT) working hours, Monday to Friday, as well as virtual coworking sessions. The contractor will be responsible to complete their daily / weekly tasks independently, and will be required to check in at the beginning and end of every work day to ensure timely responses to email requests and other communication requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    ● Executing a results-driven digital marketing, social media, and outreach strategy

    ● Utilize the SPF software (Hootsuite, Canva, Squarespace, more as needed) and platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Bluesky, Instagram, Threads), assist in developing content calendar, bank and schedule social media posts and other content

    ● Support and develop new audiences and community engagement on platforms such as Tik Tok, YouTube Shorts

    ● Support and execute outreach to foster new audiences and community engagement  with our marketing partners to engage our loyal supporters and their stakeholders

    ● Contribute to developing and curating engaging content for the communications and marketing strategy

    ● Lead social media engagement through interaction with users and responding to social media messages, inquiries, and comments

    ● Assist in reviewing analytics and creating reports on key metrics

    ● Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy

    ● Assist in the development and management of social media ad buy strategies, assets, and google non-profit ad grants

    ● Operations assistance as needed for miscellaneous organizational and administrative tasks related to marketing, communications, and social media

    ● Attend virtual and in-person events and produce live social media content (where applicable - no travel required)

    ● Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels

    ● Monitor social media channels for industry trends, community interests, gaps, and opportunities

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Proven experience and  knowledge in executing digital marketing and communications strategy.

    Well written and well spoken, with the ability to represent the organization.

    Inclusive, collaborative, and creative 

    Self-sufficient and versed in Google Drive, Slack, Canva, Hootsuite and other remote working tools. 

    Highly motivated and organized, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team

    Growing understanding of sustainable production in the motion picture industry.

    Proven capacity to work collaboratively with others as part of a team, with independent problem-solving abilities.

    A passionate advocate for sustainability and climate action, committed to supporting the overall work of the organization. 

    NOTE: This position is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs. This program is designed to help students and youth gain meaningful work experience.
